Winter excursions through unspoilt nature - The side valleys of the Lake Reschen holiday region, such as the idyllic Rojental valley or the Langtaufer valley at the foot of the mighty Ötztal Alps, make the hearts of real ski tourers beat faster. Slopes in all exposures and unspoilt nature guarantee great experiences away from the ski slopes.
Popular destinations in Rojen are the somewhat easier Äußere Nockenkopf, the more challenging Grionkopf in the rear Rojental valley and many more. On ski tours in Langtaufers on Lake Reschen, on the other hand, ski tourers enjoy the tour to the Großer Schafkopf or Glockhauser, both located on south-facing slopes. There is also a whole range of mountain peaks on the north side, with and without glaciers. High above St. Valentin towers the Seebodenspitze, a worthwhile excursion destination.
Snowshoe hike
In the Lake Resia holiday region in the Venosta Valley, snowshoe hikers will find a varied network of hiking trails, mountain paths and secluded paths. With snowshoes, winter hikers can explore snow-covered winter landscapes and discover secluded forests on their expeditions. Rewarding destinations lead up to our mountain pastures, some of which are also managed in winter.
Snowshoeing on the Reschen Pass is not just a winter pleasure for families and groups. For more fit people looking for a real high alpine nature experience, many a mountain peak is a possible destination. The Rojental and Langtauferer Tal valleys, at the foot of the mighty Ötztal Alps, are particularly suitable for this purpose.
Snowshoes can be hired from the ski hire shop or sports shop.
